Welcome! I am Beth Taylor, native to Santa Barbara, California. SoCal is where I am inspired daily by my coastal surroundings. I have been fortunate enough to grow up in a gorgeous place with glistening beaches, warm sand, and mountains surrounding our big-little city. 

I have been exploring many different mediums over the years and I like to mix mediums to create unique pieces of art. For example: I've mixed encaustic medium adding texture to my photography and watercolors and possibly include incised lines filled with oil paint for extra interest. Or maybe paint an abstract acrylic adding pastels and ink to the piece. There are so many combinations one can do with an attitude of "I wonder what would happen if..." I just love learning and exploring with color, mediums, texture, and papers of various weights and textures.

My second love is jewelry making. I have taught myself to solder, enamel, wire wrap beads and set stones. Again, I'm inspired by my environment. I collect seaglass and rocks on my beach walks, so I can make them into one of a kind jewelry pieces. My jewelry reflects my love for the ocean!
